This document will walk you through installing a printer using a CVM machine.
How to install a Printer on a Windows CVM machine using iPrint
Open any Internet browsing tool; either Firefox, edge or chrome.
Once a browser is opened, navigate to the following website: http://iprint.cvm.tamu.edu/ipp/
The website should look like this: Once there Log in with your NetID and Password.
By default, all CVM machines will have the iPrint client installed, so that button is negligible.
After connecting to this website, scroll down through the page until you locate the name of your desired printer. Click on it.
Note: Printers are organized by buildings and room numbers.
Depending on your browser, you may be asked for confirmation in launching the Installation Utility.
Click “Allow” or “OK.”
Once you confirm the utility, it will begin the installation process.
You will get a pop-up asking if you really want to install the selected printer. Click “Yes”
Note: You have the option of making it your default printer; if you desire to do so, then check the box accordingly.
After clicking “Yes,” printer installation will occur. Wait for this process to finish.
This should only take a minute.
You have now successfully installed a printer. Click “OK” and print your documents.
