Scratch Drive Policy

Summary

This is a summary of the 30-day scratch drive policy.

Scratch Drive Policy

The Scratch (Y:) drive points to a shared space. Everyone on the network can see this space. Within the Scratch drive is the Scratch folder. This folder is best used for short term storage of large files. Because this area is accessible by anyone in the CVM network, DO NOT put sensitive or personal data in it.

File Finder Window

This folder is ideal for transferring large data files from one computer to another. You can create a folder under Scratch and copy any item into it that you would like, then notify the recipient that the files are the via e-mail.
